Dublin Community Growers was formed in 2008 and is committed to encouraging community gardening, urban growing projects, biodiversity and environmental education initiatives in the Dublin area. The members come from both established community gardens and initiatives that are in the planning or development stage. Dublin Community Growers acts as an umbrella group representing the interests of community gardens in the Dublin region and our website is a useful resource for anyone interested in joining or starting a community garden. We currently have a membership of over 20 community gardens and growing. We organise events throughout the year including meitheals, awareness raising and practical events on gardening and biodiversity. This year we hope to have a presence at relevant national gardening, community and environmental events.
