This project is entitled ‘Bluebells for Bluebell’ and is a multi-agency effort involving the Canal Communities Partnership, Dublin City Council, Walkinstown Association (a centre for adults with intellectual disabilities) and TURAS (a local drugs task force). The group has used Green Communities funding to plant bluebells and other woodland flora near to the Bluebell LUAS stop in a disadvantaged area of Dublin called ‘Bluebell’. The local community in Bluebell and a local Green School are also involved and strongly support the project which was inspired by the recent ‘Grow Your Place Name’ project.
