What is the Green Communities Project?

snippet1

Green Communities is an environmental project operated jointly by the An Taisce Education Unit in Ireland and Keep Wales Tidy. The Green Communities programme is funded by a grant from the European Regional Development Fund Interreg 4A  Ireland Wales Programme. In Ireland, the project is match funded by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.

Through Green Communities, we work with volunteer community groups in Ireland and Wales to actively enhance local biodiversity while also minimising the carbon footprint of group activities.
